coaching styles
the autocratic coaching style, is a strict form of coaching where the coach is in total control of the athletes training sessions and is in control of al decisions which are to be made. eg: a young athlete who wishes to try out for the olympic games in 2008 and is slacking of in his/her training sessions and needs to be greatly motivated in order to qualify. another coaching style is democratic where the players have and imput on decisions which are to be made, the environment in which the coaching is is more relaxed then autocratic which prevents stress from occuring. eg. where the team splits into different training teams and the coach allows them to make decisions in a relaxed environment where it is not as strict.another form of coaching is laisse faire where the environment is extremely relaxed and the coach has little input on what the team is doing and allows the team to create all decisions based around what they want. eg. an under 16 girls netball team who are just playing for fun and are not to fussed on what they are coming on the ladder and are there mainly for recreation, fun and socialisation.
